How to update your profile

Updating your profile is super simple! Click one of the options below that best describes you:


Updating your profile on Android mobile devices

When you first try to apply to a mission on your dscout mobile app, you’ll be prompted to first fill out your profile. The following fields are mandatory:  profile picture, first name, last name, email, birthday, gender, zip code, and country.

If you want to update additional fields of your profile, you can do so by following these steps:

  1. Tap on the Triple Horizontal Lines icon ☰ on the top-top left corner of your screen.
  2. Tap View Profile and tap on the Pencil icon on the top right corner of your screen. This will allow you to edit your profile.
  3. Edit existing fields or answer the additional questions related to your profile here.
  4. To update your profile picture, simply tap on the Camera icon on the bottom-right corner of your profile picture to take a new picture or select one from your photo gallery (learn more here)
  5. When you’re finished, click on the Checkmark icon on the top-right corner of your screen.

Pro tip: You’ll notice a counter under your profile picture with the words Missions and Entries. This isn't a reference to the number of missions you've applied to. The Missions counter references the number of missions you've been invited to and the Entries counter is the number of entries you've submitted while participating in those missions. Updating your profile on iOS mobile devices

When you first try to apply to a mission on your dscout mobile app, you’ll be prompted to first fill out your profile. The following fields are mandatory:  profile picture, first name, last name, email, birthday, gender, zip code, and country.

If you want to update additional fields of your profile, you can do so by following these steps:

  1. Tap on the Profile icon on the top-left corner of screen when you’re signed into the dscout mobile app.
  2. Tap on Edit on the top-right corner of your screen.
  3. Edit existing fields or answer the additional questions related to your profile.
  4. To update your profile picture, simply tap on your existing profile picture to access your camera or photo gallery.
  5. When you’re finished, hit Save on the top-right corner of your screen.

Updating your profile on the web

Although we don’t have too much for you to do when you’re logged into your scout account on the web, you can update your profile. To do so, please follow these steps:

  1. Log into your account at https://app.dscout.com/sign_in.
  2. Once logged in, click on your profile picture the top-right corner of the screen (please note: if you don’t have a profile picture uploaded, you’ll see your initials in a blue circle instead).
  3. Click on Account Settings.
  4. To update your profile picture, click on the Upload New Photo button
  5. To update your primary information (name, email, gender, birthday, city, zip code, and country), change the appropriate fields and hit the Save Changes button on the bottom of the screen.
  6. To update additional demographics, Click on the Demographics button near the top of the screen under the navigation header.
  7. Update any appropriate fields and click on the Save Changes button when finished.

If you would like to update your password here, you can do so my clicking on the Password button near the top of the screen under the navigation header.

Pro tip: If you have an upcoming or past Live sessions scheduled, your scout home will look different from the default setting. Regardless, you should always be able to text yourself a link to the app or download the app from the Google Play Store or the App Store depending on your smartphone’s operating system.
