Using the Android dscout app

From the home screen, you'll still see applications you're eligible for under the APPLY tab. To view research projects you've already been invited to, just tap MISSIONS. You can also:

This is where it all begins! Tap "View Opportunity" to see what a specific dscout project is all about and submit applications to paid missions.

Application Info

This is where you'll learn what's required to apply for a project, and what you can expect as a reward if you get selected and complete it. If an opportunity sounds like fun, go ahead and start your application!

Application Status

Tap the "status" tab to view details about an application. Wondering if you've been picked or not? This is the place to look for updates. (If an opportunity has been marked as "closed" for a week or so and you haven't been accepted, you probably didn't get in this time around.) You can also use the share icon at top right to send this opportunity to eligible friends who'd be a good fit!

From the "missions" tab, you can take a look at missions you've been invited to.

Accepting Missions

Tap on "View Invitation" to read through your mission details. You'll have the option to "Accept Invitation" and get started on your entries or "Decline" if you need to be removed from the mission.

After you've accepted your mission, you'll be able to tap on "Get Started" to start submitting entries, which usually involves taking a picture or video and answering some follow up questions. Missions typically require scouts to submit 1-7 entries over the course of a few days.

Mission Info

Tap the "i" enclosed in a circle to view all the details about a particular mission, including what experience you have to capture, and when you have to capture it by.

Tap the word bubble icon in the top right corner to contact your mission leader. Got a question or concern about this mission that isn't covered in the mission instructions? This is the place to ask! Your mission leader is the person running the show, and will have the answers you're looking for.

Make sure to completely fill out your scout profile–and keep it up to date–so we can send you the right applications.

Scouting History

To see a running list of all the applications and missions you've already completed, just tap the magnifying glass at the top right.
