Help! I'm having trouble getting access

I don't see the mission I was invited to in my app.

If you received a mission invitation, make sure you're signing into dscout using the same email address that your invitation was sent to (instead of trying to create a new account). 

You may need to search your inbox for an email from "support@dscout.com", which should return the following note that includes a special link allowing you to choose a password and get started.

After downloading the dscout mobile app, make sure to SIGN IN using the password you just made up, rather than trying to create a new account.

If you've done this and your mission still isn't there, try uninstalling and reinstalling the dscout app, and make sure your operating system has been updated recently. If you're still having trouble, drop us a line at help@dscout.com and we’ll take a look.

I can't sign in to the dscout app

If you've been invited to a dscout mission, you'll need to sign in, rather than trying to create a new account by signing up. Be sure to use the same email address that your invitation was sent to as well.
If you're still having trouble, reset your password by tapping the "forgot your password?" link on the login screen. If you've updated your app recently but continue to experience problems, tell us what's going on at help@dscout.com and we'll figure it out!

I'm having trouble submitting entries

Most of the time, if you can't submit entries, it's because of poor reception or connectivity issues. Just connect to a strong WiFi signal and try submitting your entries again. For more details on this, read the checklist here.

I forgot my password.

Just tap the "forgot your password?" link at the bottom of the login screen to get a new one sent to you. If it's your first time using dscout, check your invite email to create an account an choose a password.

I didn't get an invite email.

Check your spam folder! Any time you think you might be missing an email from us, check there first. But if you've already been a scout in a previous mission, you don’t even need the invite email. Just log into the app and your new mission will be waiting for you. If you don't have the dscout app yet, your invitation email will include a link for downloading it from the App Store or Google Play, as well as a temporary password for signing into the app.

The dscout app isn't working on my phone.

This could be because you don't have the latest version of dscout, so double check you've updated your app recently. You also need to have at least an iPhone 4s (running iOS 8 or higher) or Android (4.1.1 Jelly Bean or higher) for the app to work.

There aren't any missions in my app.

To get into a mission you have to apply and be selected for one. After applying, keep an eye out for an invitation email from dscout letting you know you were selected and your mission is beginning. 

I'm not comfortable telling dscout so much about myself.

We understand dscout isn't for everyone, but we hope that it's for you! The more you tell us about yourself, the more likely we'll be able to match you up with opportunities that you'll find fun and interesting. Plus, choosing a good photo and filling out all the demographic questions about yourself on the dscout profile page is a great way to increase your chances of getting selected for paid missions.
